Together, we build essential life skills every day to help everyone we support achieve a move independent, fulfilling future.

Joanne

Joanne Founded New opportunities in 2010, bringing over 20 years experience in the care industry. she loves to sing, dance and bring a touch of playful fun to everything she does. Above all, Joanne is passionate about encouraging everyone to reach their full potential. her guiding philosophy for our work is simple "you are an adult who just so happens to have a disability"

Emily

Emily has been a part of the New Opportunities Team for over 8 years. Emily is BSL trained, loves to draw and is constantly coming up with creative new ideas. Emily thrives on keeping everything organised and in its right place - just don't trust her with the keys or she might lose them!

Curtis

Curtis is Joanne's son and has been part of the extended New Opportunities family of years, officially joining our team 6 years ago. Curtis brings so much creativity to the project, whether he's playing the piano, cooking of hosting one of his popular quizzes.

Dawn

With over 2 decades of care experience, Dawn has been bringing her bright energy to New Opportunities for four years. Dawn is always first in line for a bit of fun, never shies away from trying new activities and is almost never spotted without her iconic sunglasses.

Paige

Paige is our newest and youngest team member, having joined us in 2026! Paige is a true creative at heart, Paige loves drawing, painting and getting stuck into anything crafty. Paige is always up for a joke and loves to share a laugh, keeping things cheerful and stress-free for everyone.

Barbara

Barbara has been volunteering with us for over a decade. Barbara loves getting involved in everything we do - especially hitting the floor for our drama and evening dance sessions.

Doug

For over 10 years, Doug has been an incredible part of our volunteer team. Known for his warm smile and sense of humour, Doug is always eager to share his thoughts and creative input during our drama sessions.

Mandy

Mandy is one of our cover staff member who has a real passion for gardening and is always coming up with fresh, creative ideas for our garden. With plenty of experience working in school and care industry, Mandy is always adding thoughtful and caring touch to everything she does.
